Mountain Shadow Resort leases beautiful, rustic wooden cabins right across from the Great Smoky National Park, just three miles out of downtown Gatlinburg. With playgrounds, pools, and pavilions, Mountain Shadow Resort is a perfect family getaway- and that includes the family dog. Mountain Shadow Resort has fourteen pet-friendly cabins from which to choose. Accommodating your family pet in one of these incurs no extra charges.
Nearly every cabin at Mountain Shadow Resort has a hot tub, fireplace, and grill on a front or back deck. Some cabins have studio floorplans, while others have as many as five bedrooms. When you book at Mountain Shadow Resort, you can check for certain cabin features, such as a game room, indoor Jacuzzi, and washer/dryer unit. You may also search for properties with spectacular mountain views.
Guests can book massages upon request. You may also reserve themed baskets, such as breakfast-in-bed or the romantic getaway basket. Discount tickets can be booked for Gatlinburg attractions through Mountain Shadow Resort’s concierge.
Quality Inn & Suites Gatlinburg
Formerly Wildwood Inn, Quality Inn & Suites Gatlinburg offers spacious rooms and deluxe suites. Located right next to the Gatlinburg Mountain Coaster, this hotel gives guests easy access to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, Roaring Fork Motor Nature Trail, Dixie Stampede, and the Gatlinburg Ski Lift. This facility is not to be confused with Quality Inn Creekside- Downtown Gatlinburg, which is not pet-friendly.
Quality Inn & Suites Gatlinburg has several rooms that accommodate pets for $20/night per pet. A maximum of two pets are allowed in each room, but they must not exceed 30lbs.
All guests at Quality Inn & Suites Gatlinburg can benefit from the outdoor pool and fitness center. Quality Inn has laundry facilities on-site, so you won’t have to worry about throwing a load in as soon as you get home. Premium suites offer superb mountain views from a private balcony. River Terrace Resort & Convention Center
River Terrace Resort & Convention Center has 205 available rooms in seven different buildings located along the Pigeon Forge River in the heart of downtown Gatlinburg, not far from the Parkway area. This hotel/resort neighbors the Ripley’s Aquarium of the Smokies.
Guests may choose to reserve a double queen or king room looking out on the river. Certain accommodations have fireplaces and Jacuzzi tubs. All rooms have a balcony or patio, microwave, mini-fridge, and coffee maker.
Breakfast is complimentary, served in a beautiful rustic wood and stone dining room. Guests will have access to a heated, outdoor pool looking on to the Smoky Mountains. River Terrace Resort has picnic spaces available, as well as an on-site restaurant called Drafts Burgers Bar, which serves classy-but-casual eats and cold drafts.
River Terrace Resort is a pet-friendly establishment, but they maintain certain breed restrictions. One dog or cat is allowed per room and cannot exceed 60lbs. Owners must pay a $170 cleaning fee and leave a $100 refundable damage deposit. Housekeeping cannot clean guest rooms if a pet is present, and you should not leave your dog unattended.
Westgate Smoky Mountain Resort & Spa
Westgate Smoky Mountain offers luxury villa-style accommodations with a studio or one- to five-bedroom layouts. This resort is complete with a spa and Wild Bear Waterpark. Westgate Smoky Mountain has several dining services available on-site, as well as additional recreational activities that make it a perfect escape for the whole family.
Westgate Smoky Mountain’s Wild Bear Waterpark is the largest in the South and ranked 5th for size in the United States. This enclosed, thematic water park has heated indoor pools and a lazy river. Guests will also have access to three outdoor pools and hot tubs. There is also a mini-golf course and zipline on-site.
Guests looking to dine at Westgate can visit The Roaring Fork on the second floor of the waterpark, the Westgate Smokehouse Express, or the Westgate Market, a 24-hour sundries store. The pool serves drinks at the Mountain Top Pool Bar.
Certain breeds, including pit bulls, huskies, and German shepherds, cannot stay at the Westgate Smoky Mountain Resort. One dog or cat under 60lbs is allowed per unit. The Park Vista- A DoubleTree by Hilton
The Park Vista hotel is located near the Roaring Fork Motor Nature Trail outside of downtown Gatlinburg. This secluded high-rise offers stunning views of the nearby Great Smoky Mountains National Park. The Park Vista easily accommodates business gatherings, conventions, family get-togethers, and weddings with their ample event space and generous amenities.
First, each guest will receive a warm chocolate chip cookie upon arrival. Guests can admire the open atrium, which looks up into the floors above. Once in the room, visitors will find their accommodations equipped with an ergonomic work station, HDTV, coffee maker, and mini-fridge. Each room has a private balcony with spectacular views of the surrounding mountains.
Guests will have access to a unique indoor mini-waterpark with mountain-themed pools. The family arcade will entertain children. Those 21+ may enjoy sipping on a brew or cocktail in the Firefly’s Patio Lounge. Vista Grill provides all-day dining for guests from 6 am to 10 pm.
The Park Vista hotel is situated along Gatlinburg’s trolley route. Guests will have easy access to Dollywood and the national park. The hotel is just a short drive from downtown Gatlinburg, which offers many unique restaurants and gift shops.
Pets and service dogs are also welcome at The Park Vista. Pets owners will be liable for specific fees, and the hotel does have certain restrictions. Only two small or medium-sized pets are permitted to stay in the hotel for a $35/day charge per animal.
Cabins of the Smoky Mountains- Gatlinburg
Cabins of the Smoky Mountains has over 400 cabins near Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge, Wears Valley and Sevierville. These luxury cabins are outfitted with rustic wood furnishings, large kitchens, and sitting areas. While each cabin is unique, each accommodation includes WiFi, televisions, a hot tub, and at least one porch.
Depending on the cabin, your space may include a game room or home theater. Some of the cabins are set in the woods, and others have excellent views of the mountains. Cabins of the Smoky Mountains have a friendly pet policy, with no restriction on the type of pet, nor size or breed. There is no maximum number of pets, just a low, one-time payable $50 pet fee. Each cabin has nearby outdoor spaces and activities where your pet can tag along. They also have a full-service kitchen, dining room, and an outdoor grill area, so you won’t need to panic about finding a dog-friendly restaurant.
